Avaya To Squash Nortel Channel, Absorb Resellers

Avaya’s plans for Nortel’s channel program might be to kill it altogether.

As Avaya tries to manage its expanded channel operations, the company will move Nortel resellers over to its Connect Program when the deal closes on Nortel’s enterprise biz. There will be only one program moving forward and Nortel partners will be placed into one of the four tiers of the program depending on revenue generation. Nortel partners will, however, be asked to obtain the necessary Avaya certifications.
